Forest Surveillance Webinar 2023

The 1st PSNAP Webinar on Forest Surveillance will be held on Thursday 2 February 2023, from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM AEDT. Registration close Friday 27 January 2023.

The webinar is open to all PSNAP members and will bring together a team of surveillance experts to drive an important conversation on forest surveillance activities in Australia.

This webinar will provide an overview of the National Forest Pest Surveillance Program, introduce the MyPestGuide® Reporter App, and discuss the importance of expanding forest surveillance. We will also explore case studies of surveillance experiences in different states and territories, concluding with a Q&A forum.

Keeping an eye on pests how to report a suspect pest

Any unusual plant pest, disease or weed should be reported.

Reporting hotlines operate in both Australia and New Zealand (numbers shown below).

Pests can also be reported using apps, such as MyPestGuide™ for Australia, that allow you to submit a photo of the pest or symptoms.

Every report is taken seriously and handled confidentially. Management of calls varies in different areas, but to the same end.
