Play a role in preventing entry of exotic pests and diseases by early detection
Ongoing (permanent) Full Time position

Remuneration - $85,833 – $97,454 per annum
This position will manage a team of experienced staff located across southern Australia who conduct
surveillance at the national border for mosquitoes or plant pests and diseases.
The candidates must have: a track record of successfully supervising and managing teams, sound
experience with surveillance and botany, entomology or plant pathology knowledge; strong people
management skills; and proven ability to effectively coordinate and manage program delivery, and
build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including dealing with
difficult situations; be highly motivated; and be able to work independently with minimal
supervision.
Flexible working arrangements are available with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and
Forestry.
