Beyond Myrtle Rust (BMR) is a collaborative, multi-faceted research programme by Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research and funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) Endeavour fund. The programme aims to study the behaviour, ecology, and impacts of the disease myrtle rust (MR) in New Zealand. Visit the website.
As part of the programme, Beyond Myrtle Rust is producing a webinar series. There are currently 32 webinars in the series, with the next installment coming up on 15 November, 2023. Pests can also be reported using apps, such as MyPestGuide® for Australia, that allow you to submit a photo of the pest or symptoms.
Every report is taken seriously and handled confidentially. Management of calls varies in different areas, but to the same end.
The PSNAP program is currently being transitioned to the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).
