The Integrated pest and disease management (IPDM) manual and the Pest and disease field guide are a collation of information from the research project 'Pests and diseases of truffle and their host trees in Australia' (PRJ-009832), together with information from a range of other sources.
The ‘Pests and diseases’ project took place from 2015-2019 and clarified the identity of the more abundant pest and disease agents and their pest status in Australian truffle orchards. The manual and field guide have been produced as a resource for Australian truffle growers to identify the risks posed by these agents and relevant details to help prevent them from affecting truffle production. The Field Guide is intended to help identify pests and diseases present while the Manual has more detailed information on each pest and disease to assist in managing them.
