International Year of Plant Health 2020

2020 is the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH) and Australia is making the most of it by promoting how much Australians value plants, and how we can best protect them.

The Australian International Year of Plant Health website, planthealthyear.org.au, celebrates all the activities carried out locally and provides information on ways to protect plants in Australia, allows you to upload stories about people making a difference in plant health, and details of events with a plant health theme.

The International Year of Plant Health was declared by the United Nations and launched globally by the Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome on 2 December 2019. This year is a once in a lifetime opportunity to raise global awareness on how protecting plant health can help end hunger, reduce poverty, protect the environment, and boost economic development.
