PSNAP Membership Requirements
A person qualifies to be a member of the network, if the person is:
- engaged in the surveillance for plant pests in Australia or New Zealand; or
- a member or observer on PHC, SNPHS or their respective working groups; or
- concerned with regulation of plant biosecurity surveillance, plant biosecurity or plant movements;
- is based in Australasia-Pacific,
and the person meets at least one sub-criteria of the following:
- are an employee of an Australian or New Zealand government department that is responsible for biosecurity and undertaking a role relating to surveillance (policy, planning or operations); or
- are directly involved in an industry-based biosecurity surveillance program (planning or operations); or
- are working on a relevant research discipline in a research institution (government, university, museum or private research organisation); or
- are a private surveillance consultant; or
- can demonstrate input into community-based biosecurity surveillance program; or
- are a member of the National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostics Network (NPBDN) with an interest in surveillance.
